The Ruth Peale mentioned by Art Linkletter as presenting the 1985 Horatio Alger Award to Fred Trump, Sr. is the wife of the Trump family's religious guru, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, an architect of the very non-Christian "Prosperity Gospel" pushed today by thousands of evangelical snake oil salespeople masquerading as clerics of mega-churches.
It is inconceivable that someone with the political philosophy of Fred Trump, Sr. would not have been a corporate member of the German-American Business League, which was co-located with the German-American Bund at their 178 East 85th Street, Yorkville, Manhattan offices. The Business League distributed directories of businesses to be patronized by Nazis and their sympathizers.
